French

Bonjour!

Je m’appelle Albert and I help Mrs Honsel teach French at Marriott.

We have started teaching French to all children in KS2 after the Summer holidays and it is great to see all the children trying out new words and songs.

One language sets you in a corridor for life.
Two languages open every door along the way.
- Frank Smith, Psycholinguist

Learning a foreign language in Key Stage 2 provides our pupils with the opportunity to find out about other cultures, to recognise that people around the world communicate using different languages, and to encourage curiosity of the world and a desire to learn further languages.
